Tireless father of three, award-winning photographer and self-confessed sleep-deprived go-getter. Born and raised in Baltimore, back when phones had cords, Marsha Brady was the hottest babe on TV and the average price of a home in the US was $12,500.

With a pre-law college degree under my belt I acted on an idea to make a new life in San Francisco. With the right balance of determination and utter ignorance I drove across the country with NPR for company back when a gallon of gas was $1.09, Duran Duran was king of the radio, and the average price of a home in the US was $75,500.

After attempts to live within the confines of a “normal” job, I found my way into the licensed music merchandise business; founding and building a multi-million dollar international business that designed merchandise for everyone from the Grateful Dead to Madonna, the Who to the Rolling Stones.

Along the way, real estate became a hobby. Ultimately after decades of personally buying and selling homes and developing an innate knack for reading the real estate market like fortune tellers read tea leaves I switched careers and became a full-time realtor in 2004.

How can they really work? In a word compromise. Negotiations have traditionally been thought of as a win or lose proposition. One side pushes, the other pushes back, one finally capitulates and an agreement is reached.

The approach I take in negotiations is to foster an air of compromise where both parties give and get but I can assure you, you’ll get more. I am nothing if not a confident, articulate determined negotiator as you will soon see for yourself and yet I do so with just enough push and pull to allow our opponent to feel respected and satisfied, even as they walk away with their tail between their legs!
