Roy's Redwoods Preserve is another terrific spot to hike, where you’ll become immersed in the dense redwoods as you make your way to several lookout points. There’s also the French Ranch Preserve for horseback riders, where you’ll cover acres of gorgeous fields, shady brooks, and glittering lakes.

 

20 years in the running, the Woodacre 4th of July parade is a can’t-miss event that brings people from all over the county in with an Independence Day parade, fair day fun, and a flea market where you can buy all your goodies. For some good company, great pub food, and nightly live music, the Papermill Creek Saloon is a long-time local favorite, where the environment is always vibrant and the entertainment is always fantastic.
