San Francisco is turning up the volume this summer with the Golden Gate Park Concert Series, bringing live music and community energy to the city’s iconic west side. According to SFGATE, the San Francisco Board of Supervisors recently approved an extension of Another Planet Entertainment’s permit through 2029, allowing multiday concerts on weekends before and after the Outside Lands festival starting in 2027.
The series includes free public concerts at Civic Center Plaza, Union Square, the Embarcadero, and the Jerry Garcia Amphitheater, as well as ticketed events with premium fan experiences. Since 2024, the concerts have hosted top performers, attracting thousands of attendees and generating millions in economic activity for the city.
Upcoming highlights include Daytime Disco with Poolside in Union Square on September 22 and additional multiday music events that continue to celebrate San Francisco’s vibrant arts and culture scene. These concerts also support local businesses and energize neighborhoods while maintaining a balance with community concerns about noise and traffic.
For residents and visitors, the Golden Gate Park Concert Series offers a perfect summer mix of music, culture, and community, creating memorable experiences across the Bay Area.
