Pumpkin patch season is here, and the farms of Marin and Sonoma counties have a strong lineup for 2026. Some families want a pick-your-own field close to home. Others want a full day of corn mazes, or a vineyard patch with a glass of wine. There is a patch for each of those plans.
We put this roundup together from the 2026 Marin and Sonoma pumpkin patch guide published by Marin Mommies, which has visited and reviewed several of these patches over the years. Marin County Patches
Nicasio Valley Pumpkin Patch, Nicasio
5300 Nicasio Valley Road.
Opens September 25. Friday 10 am to 6 pm, Saturday and Sunday 9 am to 6 pm, Monday through Thursday 10 am to 4 pm. Free admission.
Nicasio Valley grows certified organic pumpkins and offers farm animals, hay mazes, a hay pit, and hay rides on weekends. Food includes Hanks Pizza Oven, War Pigs Craft BBQ, ice cream, and shave ice. New this year is the patch's first Family Oktoberfest Weekend, with German beer and food. It is the only Marin patch on this list in West Marin, and it makes a full outing rather than a quick stop.
Grossi Family Farm Pumpkin Patch, Novato
3666 Novato Boulevard.
Opens September 26. Wednesday through Friday noon to 5:30 pm, Saturday and Sunday 10 am to 5:30 pm, closed Mondays and Tuesdays. Admission is $5 on weekends for ages 2 and up.
Families can pick their own pumpkins and gourds, visit the petting zoo, and try the toddler hay maze, hay pyramid, and mini pumpkin slingshot. A food truck is on site on weekends, and opening weekend adds an Oktoberfest celebration with beer and brats. The activities are geared toward younger children, which makes this a good fit for families with toddlers.
Honor System Pumpkin Patch at Marin Country Mart, Larkspur
2257 Larkspur Landing Circle.
Open all day, every day in October.
Locally grown pumpkins come in small, medium, and large sizes. Prices are a flat rate by size, and you pay at a box on site. It is the simplest option on the list when you need a pumpkin without planning a full outing.
Sonoma County Patches
Pronzini Farms Pumpkin Patch, Petaluma
3795 Adobe Road.
Opens September 26. Monday through Thursday 11 am to 6 pm, Friday through Sunday 10 am to 6:30 pm, Halloween 11 am to 4 pm. Weekday admission is $5 per adult and free for kids 12 and under. Weekends are $10 per adult and $5 per child ages 2 to 12. Attractions cost extra.
The patch has a u-pick field, games, farm animals, a Haunted Village, BBQ from the Cowgirl Cafe, and kettle corn. Marin families may recognize the name, since the same Pronzini family runs Christmas tree lots in Marin during the holidays.
Petaluma Pumpkin Patch and Amazing Corn Maze, Petaluma
550 Stony Point Road.
Opens September 25. Sunday through Thursday 10 am to 6 pm, Friday and Saturday 10 am to 10 pm. Corn maze admission is $8, and free for kids 5 and under.
Look for more than 50 varieties of pumpkins, squash, and gourds, plus a 4-acre corn maze with second-story viewing platforms. There's also a little kids' corn maze, farm animals, and pony rides. On Friday and Saturday nights from 6 to 10 pm, the corn maze becomes the Night Maze for $12 per person, with last entry at 9:30 pm.
Mickelson Pumpkin Patch, Petaluma
5495 Redwood Highway.
Open since September 19 and running through November 8. Sunday through Thursday 9 am to 8 pm, Friday and Saturday 9 am to 10 pm. Free Monday through Friday, $3 on weekends. Some attractions cost extra.
Just past the Marin and Sonoma county line off Highway 101 at exit 472A, Mickelson is the closest Sonoma patch for most Marin families. Expect a hay maze and pyramid, tractor rides, a paintball gallery, an apple cannon, food vendors, and craft beer.
Santa Rosa Pumpkin Patch, Santa Rosa
5157 Stony Point Road.
Opens September 26. Monday through Thursday 11 am to 7 pm, Friday 11 am to 9 pm, Saturday 9 am to 9 pm, Sunday 9 am to 8 pm, Halloween 9 am to 8 pm.
There are 10 acres of pumpkins and an 8-acre corn maze, the largest on this list. Other attractions include hay rides, games, a petting zoo, pumpkin blasters, bounce houses, and pony rides.
Muelrath Ranches Pumpkin Patch, Santa Rosa
3800 Walker Avenue.
Opens September 26. Open daily 10 am to 6 pm.
Choose from 20 varieties of pumpkins, and enjoy free hay rides, a pumpkin slingshot, a pumpkin cannon, a toddler corn maze, and farm animals. Water, soda, and cider are available for purchase.
Larson Family Winery Pumpkin Patch, Sonoma
23355 Millerick Road.
Open Thursday through Sunday in October, 11 am to 5 pm. Free admission.
Walk the patch for pumpkins, gourds, and flint corn, then pay at the tasting room.
The Patch at Beltane Ranch, Glen Ellen
11775 Sonoma Highway.
Open October 4 through 25, Friday through Sunday, 11 am to 6 pm. Adults $18, or $30 with a glass of beer or wine. Free for those under 21.
This vineyard patch offers ranch-grown pumpkins and provisions along with fall festivities. Private 4x4 family tours of the ranch are also available for $64. It is a different kind of afternoon than the family farm patches, built around the wine country setting.
Papa's Pumpkin Patch, Sebastopol
13110 Occidental Road.
Open daily in October, 9 am to 4 pm.
Pick your own pumpkins right off the vine under old-growth redwoods, with seven varieties in the field. Next door, Apple-a-Day Ratzlaff Ranch offers u-pick apples.
