There’s nothing quite like walking through downtown San Francisco on a crisp December evening as towering buildings transform into massive, glowing canvases. Let’s Glow SF returns this season to cast the Financial District, SOMA, and Embarcadero in a spectacular light — literally.
🎆 What Is Let’s Glow SF?
Let’s Glow SF is the nation’s largest free holiday projection‑arts festival, turning eight of the city’s most iconic buildings into swirling, animated masterpieces by artists from around the world. Spanning 10 nights — December 5–14, 2025 — the event runs nightly from 5:30 PM to 10:00 PM, making it easy for anyone to drop by after work or school.
The spectacle begins with a festive kickoff on December 5: the “Countdown to Glow” at the base of the Ferry Building, where city officials will ceremonially “flip the switch” and usher in the lights at 7:00 PM. Before that — from 6:00 PM — there’ll be holiday music, free hot chocolate, and all‑ages cheer to get you in the spirit.
🌃 What to Expect — Nightly Magic Across the City
-
Building‑size light projections & animations — Each building offers a unique visual story, from swirling abstract art to festive scenes dancing across facades. The scale and creativity make for an immersive, almost surreal experience.
